Why I Built ShiftTracker
After years of driving for Uber, delivering for DoorDash, and charging scooters for Lime, I had one recurring frustration: I never really knew how much I was making. Sure, the apps showed earnings — but after gas, maintenance, and taxes, the real numbers told a different story.
I tried spreadsheets, expense trackers, and mileage apps. Nothing combined everything a gig worker actually needs in one place. So I built it myself.
ShiftTracker was born from real shifts on real roads. Every feature exists because I needed it — and because thousands of drivers like me needed it too. We're not a team of Silicon Valley engineers guessing what gig workers want. We're gig workers who learned to code.
